Natsu Matsuri @ Singapore Japanese School




Date : 23rd Aug 2008
Location : The Japanese School (Changi Campus)

A wet day out in the wild for almost 2 hours
as many excited crowd waited outside the Japanese school
for the long awaited Natsu Matsuri (Summer festival)
But hearts on fire was a little too "hot" for the weather
And many had no choice but to shelter under the umbrellas
and await for the opening of the gate



But one wont know how long a queue can get till we get a glimpses when we got in
a shocking yet not surprising crowd line while went all the way back



The atmosphere within the school was a rush of excitment as organizers and helpers whoosh past all over trying to get the crowd in order
So i took the oppotunity to take a pic of the hall
before going into the main event area
as well as a japanese family within the queue



Moving on to the stalls within the next hall were the accessories
as well as from Japan,since some of my friends were busy queuing for their yukatas
Both me and my friend HaruX,
went off for a walk towards all the stalls and food stalls around the area

Well the round the stall visits were done ,
we went back to the main hall to await for our friends
as they presented themselves with striking and colourful yukatas

Have u wonder How Pikachu would feel going for Natsu Matsuri?
Well our dear esu will tell u how she feels ;)

And With Mint playing as the female Pikachu,
there wont be a lonely pikachu in the pokemon world anymore =x

Finally after a long wait everyone was out with their Yukatas
and were famish and ready to dig our hands on the food
rushing by towards the food hall
we cant help crying for the smell we kept smelling all over
"Kari Bentou~~ Takoyaki~~toriyaki~~"

What's a festive without dances and performances?
The students and performers
displayed a wide variety of performance
that kept the audience on the peak of euphoria

Yea the performance were great
but who knows wat they had install for us?
folk dances! not just them but everyone were in the dance
dancing to the music asthe performers guided our every moves
Sweat and heat wont stop anyone from having much fun for it



A fun evening for everyone as we slowly retreat to a quieter place for a rest
before making out way home on a shuttlebus to expo
